Request a walk. A nearby walker accepts. You watch.
Dote works like on-demand delivery, for dog walks: the first available walker nearby accepts your request, and you follow the walk live.
For dog owners
1. Request a walk
Tell Dote where your dog is and when you need the walk. Your request goes out to walkers nearby.
2. A nearby walker accepts
The first available walker nearby to accept your request is assigned to your walk. From arrival to drop-off, the route shows live on a map in the app.
3. Get the recap
A photo, the route, and the walk length land in your app the second it's done. Rate the walk and you're set.
Photo updates, including potty breaks
During the walk, the walker shares photo updates with the owner, including when your dog pees or poops, so you always know how your dog is doing. The owner receives them in the app, next to the live route.

How matching works
Dote works like on-demand delivery. When you send a request, it goes out to walkers nearby, and the first available walker to accept is assigned to your walk. Cancelling is free until a walker accepts. If no walker accepts right away, your request stays open and is never cancelled automatically. Dote alerts every approved walker in your area, and if no one has accepted after an hour, we ask you whether you are still looking.
Pricing and cancellation
Dote sets the price of each walk based on the length of the walk and the needs of the dog, such as whether the dog needs a potty break, and you see the exact price before you request. Cancelling is free until a walker is assigned. After that, a 30% fee applies to the walk price, shared with the walker for their time.
