Complete your walker onboarding.

Verify your identity, review the walker agreement, and sign it. It takes about 10 minutes.

This page is for walkers who have already read how Dote works. You will do three things: enter your details, upload your ID, and sign the agreement.

1. Your details

2. Verify your identity

Upload clear photos of a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID or passport) and a selfie. Only the Dote verification team can see them. We use them to check who you are and for your background check, and we never show them to owners.

Photos must be under 8 MB in total. Do not send your Social Security number here.

3. Walker agreement

DOTE INDEPENDENT WALKER AGREEMENT (draft v0.1, to be reviewed by Dote's attorney before use)

1. Relationship. You provide dog-walking services as an independent business, not as an employee of Dote. You decide whether you are online, which requests you accept, and how you complete a walk, within the safety standards in this agreement. You may work for others, including competing services.

2. The platform. Dote provides an app that sends you walk requests from dog owners nearby. When you accept a request first, the walk is assigned to you.

3. Prices and payment. Dote sets the price of each walk and shows it to the owner before the request is sent. You are paid for each completed walk. Dote pays you once a week by bank transfer. Dote's share and your share of each walk are shown in the app and in your account before you accept. Dote may adjust prices and its share with prior written notice.

4. Eligibility and screening. You confirm you are 18 or older, legally allowed to work in the United States, and that the details and documents you give are true. You must pass identity verification and a criminal background check before your first walk. Dote may re-screen you periodically and may deactivate your account if you fail a check or give false information.

5. Safety standards. During every walk you must keep location tracking on, send photo updates (including potty breaks and cleanup), keep the dog on a leash at all times unless the owner has allowed off-leash play in a legal area, never leave the dog unattended, never leave the dog tied up or in a vehicle, and return the dog to the agreed place. You must follow local leash, waste and licensing laws.

6. Incidents. You must report any injury, bite, lost dog, accident or emergency to Dote and the owner immediately, and seek veterinary or emergency help where needed.

7. Cancellations. If you cancel an accepted walk or do not show up, you may be limited or deactivated. If an owner cancels after you accepted, the cancellation terms shown in the app apply to what you are paid.

8. Owner privacy. You may use owners' addresses, door codes, photos, pet details and contact information only to complete the walk. You must not share, post or keep them afterward.

9. Your equipment, insurance and taxes. You provide your own phone and supplies. You are responsible for your own taxes. Dote will report your earnings to the tax authorities where required. Any insurance Dote offers is described in the app and may have limits and conditions.

10. Responsibility. You are responsible for your own actions and for following the law. Nothing in this agreement limits rights that cannot be waived under law.

11. Ending the agreement. Either party may end this agreement at any time by written notice. Walks already completed will still be paid.

12. Electronic signature. You agree that your typed name and drawn signature below are your legal signature and have the same effect as a handwritten signature, under the U.S. E-SIGN Act. Dote records the date, time and your device information with your signature and will email you a copy of what you signed.
