Who we are
Dote ("Dote," "we," "us") operates this website and a dog walking marketplace that connects dog owners with independent dog walkers. Our registered address is 3880 S Washington Ave, Suite 138, Titusville, FL 32780. Contact us at hello@doteusa.com.
Information we collect
- Sign-up and contact details: your name, email address, role (owner or walker), and city when you sign up or write to us.
- Account and profile details: information you give us when you create an account, including information about your dog.
- Location data: during a walk, the walker's device shares GPS location so owners can follow the route live. Owners may also provide a home or pickup address.
- Photos and recaps: photos taken during walks and the route and length of each walk.
- Walker screening information: walkers provide identity and background-check information to a third-party screening provider. We receive the results.
- Payment information: payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical information: basic device and usage information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use information

How we share information
We share information only as needed to provide the service: owners and walkers see the details needed to complete a walk, and we use service providers such as screening, payment, and hosting providers who process information on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety. If Dote is involved in a merger or sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We do not sell personal information.
Location data
GPS location is used to show walks live and to create recaps. Location sharing during a walk is part of how the service works. We keep location data only as long as needed for those purposes and for safety, disputes, and legal reasons.
Walker identity documents
Walkers who apply to Dote upload a photo of a government-issued ID, a selfie, their date of birth and home address, and sign the walker agreement electronically. We use these only to verify identity, run a background check, and keep a record of the signed agreement. Only authorized Dote staff and our screening providers can access them. They are never shown to dog owners. We keep the signed agreement for as long as the law requires, and we delete ID photos after verification is complete unless the law requires us to keep them.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to close your sign-up, by emailing hello@doteusa.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
Dote is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Cookies and third-party content
When we turn on analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel), we show a banner first and only load them if you choose Accept. You can decline and still use all of Dote. We use them to count visits and sign-ups and to measure our ads, not to sell your information.
Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and browser information. We may add analytics in the future and will update this policy if we do.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
